EXA Market seems to be coming back, but wallet sign-in doesn't work yet
EXA Market, the Algorand NFT marketplace that went dark when its domain stopped resolving in August, seems to be coming back: the domain has been renewed, the site was redeployed in September and its operator is setting up new listings. Signing in with a wallet still stalls at verification, so nothing can be bought there yet; a seller can still close a listing from their own wallet.

EXA Market is an Algorand NFT marketplace where collectors buy pieces at a fixed price in ALGO and sellers list their work, and it is trying to come back. Its domain stopped resolving in late August; it has since been renewed, the site was rebuilt and redeployed in early September, and its operator account set up new listing contracts in October. On November 2, 2026 the storefront was serving listings again, with a price in ALGO, a dollar figure and a Buy now button on every card. The comeback is not finished: signing in with a wallet stalls at verification, so nothing on it can be bought yet.
That matters because the field around it has thinned. By August 28, three Algorand marketplaces still answered after RandGallery wound down, and PXke's report that week counted EXA among the venues that had stopped resolving. It answers again now.
What works, and what does not
Sign In opens a panel with an email route, Pera Wallet and Defly Wallet. Choose Pera, approve the connection, and a dialog appears: 'Verify your wallet', 'Please sign this transaction to verify your wallet'. Press Sign and the page answers 'Auth transaction not signed', the header returns to Sign In, and no signing request ever reaches the wallet. PXke ran that sequence on November 2, more than once, and an editor connecting Pera from a phone met 'WalletConnect failed: No response from the dApp'. Nothing was signed and no funds moved. Only the Pera route was tried; whether Defly or the email route behaves differently is not established; the email route relied on Magic, which ended its Algorand wallets on July 29.

The rest of the page behaves as though nothing were wrong. Navigation works. Pressing Create changes nothing visible. Nothing on the site explains the sign-in failure.
The listings are live, not a cached page
The bundle the homepage leads with, two 'Governor' NFTs at 75 ALGO, is a smart contract rather than a page entry. Its account holds both tokens with 0.3071 ALGO against a 0.32 ALGO minimum balance. It took in 0.3093 ALGO from the listing wallet on November 1, 2026. Seventy-five ALGO is a little under $7 at the ALGO price PXke recorded on November 2, $0.09254. That is the whole of a listing here: a small contract funded with just enough ALGO to cover its own opt-ins, holding the piece until a buyer appears.
The operator account is still deploying: it set up a run of listing contracts on October 19, 2026, and its newest transaction on the page read is dated October 27, 2026. There is new plumbing under the site as well. Certificate-transparency records show a certificate for exa.market issued on October 6, 2026, and certificates for its api, websocket and syncer subdomains on September 26, 2026.
A paused swap site and a green status page
The Swap item in that working navigation leads to swap.exa.market, which reads 'Deployment Paused'. The venue's status page5, updated at 12:50pm CET on November 2, reports the following:
- 'All services are online'
- Marketplace, Swap, API and Algorand marked operational
- 'No incidents reported' for September, October and November 2026
The page does not say what it measures.
The domain record, and a silent account
Registry data for exa.market shows registration on August 25, 2021, expiry on August 25, 2027, and a last change on October 9, 2026. On that annual cycle the name would have come up for renewal on August 25, 2026, three days before PXke found the site dark. Whether it lapsed and was renewed afterwards, or was renewed on time while the site stayed down, the record does not show.
EXA's account on X6 last posted on July 21, 2026, and has said nothing since about the outage, the return, the paused swap or the broken sign-in. Its Discord lists about 2,2007 members, 60 of them online when PXke checked.
What a listing is, and how to take one back
A listing here is the arrangement PXke described when RandGallery shut down: the piece sits in a smart contract of its own, and closing a storefront means triggering the contract to hand the asset back, the promise RandGallery's shutdown notice made in so many words.
The close path is on the seller's side, and it is narrow. The listing contract's delete route requires the caller to be the seller address stored in the contract, with a transaction group of one, before it sends the asset and the ALGO out. The marketplace does not have to be working, and does not have to agree.
It is used. Six listing contracts made by one wallet between 23:52 and 23:55 on October 28, 2026 were all closed out by October 31. Each sent between 0.203 and 0.304 ALGO back to that wallet. At least four of them also returned a piece, among them QPIONEER, QVANGRD and QSNTNEL.
Whether a holder can do that through a working interface is not established. Nothing on exa.market gets past its own sign-in to a cancel button. ASA Compass8, a third-party archive with a recovery tool9 for stranded listings, covers four closed venues:
- AB2 Gallery
- AlgoXNFT
- AlgoGems
- ZestBloom
It counted 25,34810 pieces still in escrow as of September 23, 2026 and has recovered 33. EXA Market is not among the four. The token inside EXA's newest bundle has no listing on that site. The nearest candidate, Asalytic11, which described itself as a composable marketplace, no longer resolves.
Selling and closing kept working on-chain
ASA Compass's sales page12 reads Exa Market as one of its sale sources and lists twelve sales attributed to the venue, the most recent on October 19, 2026. That is a third party's reading over the window its page covers. PXke could not verify a sale after that date. The activity on the newest listing on November 1 was the listing being funded, both pieces and the deposit going in, not a piece changing hands.
The Magic notice has passed its deadline
Across the top of the page, a banner still tells Magic Login users to export their mnemonic before July 29, 2026, 12:00 PM PT, and adds that Pera and Defly Wallet users are not affected. EXA's post of July 21, 2026 said Magic13 would discontinue support for Algorand wallets accessed through these authentication methods at that time:
- Apple
- X
- Discord
- Twitch
PXke found no second source for the cut-off, since Magic's own site says nothing about Algorand, so the notice rests on EXA's word. It was 96 days stale at the November 2 check, and anyone whose NFT sits in a wallet created through an email or social login, with the key never exported, is not helped by the marketplace answering again.
What to do
Do not plan to buy anything on exa.market until its sign-in works; as of November 2, 2026 it does not. For a collector who wants to trade this week, the venues PXke found with live listings in August were Downbad14, Dartroom15 and AlgoSeas16.
What would show the comeback is real: a wallet sign-in that works, a word from the team, or sales resuming.
