MEV

Maximal extractable value: profit a block producer (or a transaction orderer) can capture by reordering, inserting, or censoring transactions in a block, e.g. frontrunning a swap or placing a liquidation right after a price update. On Algorand, transaction ordering is largely first-in-first-out by the block proposer, which changes how MEV can be captured compared to chains with public mempools.
